5 Shopping Destinations to Visit in Paris

Paris isworld’s fashion capital, therefore, it is obvious to expect Paris to have a fair number of shipping centers. Most of the Parisians prefer window shopping, therefore, most shopping areas in Paris are found outdoors in the famous shopping districts of Paris, the Marais, and the Champs-Elysees etc. The following are some of the famous shopping centers of Paris.

1. Forum Des Halles Shopping Center - Located at the center of Paris at 101 Porte Berger, this giant shopping center was first opened in early 1970’s.
  • ·       It is a massive underground shopping complex opens Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm daily. It features dozens of stores, restaurants, two cinemas and a sports and recreation center.
  • ·       This giant shopping complex is always filled with Parisians, especially on Saturdays. It is a convenient place for men and women’s fashion, home and electronic items and gifts, all under one roof.
  • ·       Major stores found here are Zara, H&M, Espirit, FNAC, Swarovski, Sephora etc. 


2. La Defense Quatre Temps Shopping Center - this is a large mall located in the huge business district west of the city limits known as “La Defense”. This mall can be easily reached through the RER A line, a suburban train, from central Paris.

  • ·       The shops at Quatre Temps Shopping center at La Defense is open from Monday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This mall features fashion, home design, books, gifts etc. Brand stores found here are H&M, Zara, Habitat, FNAC, American Apparel, Virgin Megastore etc.

5. Collete - Located at 213 Rue St Honroe, Collete is the Paris Concept store.
